Annual social impact reports

In 2017-18, Aspire transformed the lives of 1,478 disadvantaged local people. We worked with people who were homeless, in recovery from addiction, ex-offenders or those living in poverty to build their skills, work experience and confidence to change their lives, for good.

Who we supported in 2017-18:

  • 195 trainees
  • 711 drug and alcohol recovery clients
  • 315 sports and physical activity participants
  • 154 Community Transport passengers
  • 44 "Through the Gate" clients, in custody and ex-offenders
  • 33 disadvantaged local people
  • 26 refugees

Out of the trainees we worked with, who were facing multiple barriers into employment:

  • 99% of trainees with an offending history did not re-offend
  • 93% of trainees maintained their recovery from substance misuse
  • 24% were supported into paid employment
