Through the Gate support service for ex-offenders returning to the Thames Valley Aspire will be relaunching our highly successful Through the Gate (TTG) service, which has been supporting prison-leavers across the Thames Valley for over 12 years, from 1st November 2024. Two dedicated support workers will continue this vital work, one based in Oxford and the other in Milton Keynes. The primary focus will be on Employment, Training, and Education (ETE), while housing support will shift to an advisory role, with access to information, advice, and guidance on housing and tenancy support. The service will be open to male and female prison leavers who are on licence with a named probation officer. Referrals will be accepted from COMs for clients under their caseloads, including those supervised under IOM or MAPPA Level 1. People with convictions for sexual offences or arson are not eligible for the Through the gate (TTG) program. The TTG team will provide responsive, holistic, client-focused support plans. This will include inclusive recruitment and hands-on employability support such as CV writing, disclosure letters, interview preparation, assistance with funding and CSCS applications. Clients will also be referred or signposted to external agencies and professionals for more specialised support. For further information, please contact:- Tracy Harrison, 07395 791494, [email protected]- Tom Bartlett, 07717 893585, [email protected] Manage Cookie Preferences
