Real Resolutions Real Resolutions Want to take on a Real Resolution this New Year’s? Take on a personal challenge to help us offer Real Resolutions to homelessness and unemployment. For many, January is a time of hardship. Ever year, millions of people set big goals in the New Year - to get active, hit milestones at work, and give back. However, those goals rarely stick. 85% of people drop their new year’s resolution by February. It's a familiar feeling of disappointment that leaves many feeling disheartened. At the same time, the most vulnerable people in our communities face low temperatures and severe social isolation. In the wake of Christmas, charitable giving drops considerably, due to the costs of festive activity. For Aspire's clients, January and February are a very difficult time. Facing cold nights and long-term exclusion, our clients face massive barriers to feeling safe and achieving their goals. Real Resolutions Make your resolution stick this year by taking on a month-long sports challenge for Aspire. Across January and February 2026, make a resolution to hit a sporting goal and raise funds for Aspire. Whether it's 20 press-ups a day or 26 miles over a month, every penny you raise will help us deliver Real Resolutions to homelessness and unemployment. The Challenge Have you been meaning to get active and social? You could: Run a marathon over a month – because true progress takes months, not days. Cycle up to 164 kilometres to recognise the 164% increase in rough sleeping since 2010 in the UK. Swim 25 miles over a month – for Aspire’s 25th year of work in 2026. Or come up with your own challenge, tailored to your aims and abilities. It doesn't have to be sporting, either; you could run a gig, set up a bake sale, or start a skills auction. Whatever you do, your efforts will change lives. Your Impact Pair your month-long challenge with a fundraising goal, to maximise your motivation and make a real difference. Set a goal of £150 to cover 8 one-to-one sessions for a client. Set a goal of £250 to cover English and Maths exam fees for a youth hub client. Set a goal of £575 to cover 3 months of rent and tailored Aspire support. Our clients are on their own journeys - from the streets to secure housing, from unemployment to meaningful work, and from despair to hope. Your personal journey could build a pathway for our most marginalised community members to progress. Keen to take part? Set up your Fundraising page below to get started.
